Enkhbaatar KHURELBAATAR

E.Khurelbaatar was born in Erdenesant soum of Töv aimag. He completed his secondary education from the Erdenesant soum general education school in 2005, and enrolled to the “Ikh Mongol” college to graduate as a journalist in 2009. In 2013, he did his Master’s degree in journalism from the same college and subsequently, obtained his Master’s degree in jurisprudence from the “Mongol Global” college.
Khurelbaatar began his professional career in 2007 working as a reporter with the Social, and Investigative Journalism Department of the “Niigmiin Toli” (Social Mirror) newspaper. He then worked as reporter and columnist in the Department of Invesgative Journalism and Commentary of the “Odriin Sonin” (Daily News) newspaper from 2009 to 2019. Starting in 2019, Khurelbaatar first worked as the Chief Editor of the “Undesnii Shuudan” (National Post) daily, and in 2020, he founded the “Ergelt.mn” news site and has been working as its Chief Editor. 
Khurelbaatar is the four-time winner of the “Baldorj” award given to the best journalistic work of Mongolia, and in 2015, he won the “Baldorj Grand Prix” for his reports, including a report entitled “I think Mongolia is the biggest country in the world.” He has published a compilation of stories called “The final push for the search” and also published his stories and reports in volumes 74 and 78 of the serial “The Best of Mongolian Essays.”
